Just wondering where do you prefer sitting in Goodison?
Im taking a mate to his first everton experience for the Swansea game - i usually sit in the Main Stand but fancy dabbling...im thinking Park End...whats Upper Gwladys like?
Park End is pretty much the only guaranteed non obstructed view. It also the most expensive as a result. Good view though.
Top Balcony is boss for the FIFA / Pro Evo view as it's fairly high up. There are two massive posts in the way though.
I sat in the upper Gwladys (the church end of it) against Villa for the first time, and it was alright. The seats are a bit squashed mind, but it's like that in most of the stadium...
I've never had a none obstructed view seat. I thought it was just a myth that they existed
I rarely get chance to visit Goodison, and I seem to sit somewhere different every time. I remember coming along for the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal a couple of years ago. We bought the most expensive tickets that we could, hoping it would benefit our view. Sadly any time the ball went up in the air, we couldn't see it. An awesome atmosphere though
I tend to go in the Lower Gwladys on most of my visits, you'd think Tony Hibbo had scored in there most of the time. Always been a really good atmosphere for me in there
Upper Gwladys. Perfect mixture of atmosphere and view. I'm by the corner so it's totally unobstructed. Tried lower a few times but I miss being able to see the whole picture if you get me.
Upper Bullens for me, the past few seasons. But sat everywhere, you do get a more "t.v style" view from there, good view of both goals and important stuff like offside decisions. Top Balcony / Main Stand..mmm good views , but can lack the required 'atmosphere' unless it's a Sky 4 game . Park End, has a fine view, but when the play goes down 'the other end' ,it can get a bit confusing as your perspective view gets a bit mashed up.
Because we play in an old stadium, the invariable "Obstructed View" comes into play practically everywhere . Both the Family enclosure and Paddock in the Bullens Road end, both provide good 'ground level access but do leave you vulnerable to the elements !
But whatever you decide, don't sit at the back of the Lower Bullens..it's horrible and it's like watching through a letter box..awful :
Usually go in the Gwladys Street, didn't like the top balcony/main stand when I went in there a couple of years back, lacks atmosphere and feels too far removed from the pitch. Have been in the Upper Bullens but not for years, remember it being preferable to the top balcony in the main stand.
Am going to give the Park End a go next time I come up I think.
Used to sit mainly in the upper bullens, switched to the lower you just seem to be closer to the action, providing of course you're not at the back like Dushku said. Main Stand is like sitting in a Library
I usually sit near the front of the lower gladwys, but i sat at the front of the lower bullens for the Chelsea match and i must admit i loved it,it felt so close to the action.
Lower Gwladys all day long. I feel all weird like I'm missing out if I sit anywhere else. Sat in the Park End for the Sheff Utd game with my Park ender mate and also the 1-0 defeat to United defeat afew years ago. That was good, it has the only thing the LG lacks: home/away fan banter. If you can take the anti-scouser songs with a chuckle, the banter is usually great, mainly thanks to the evertonians tbf.
