Had a discussion with my mate in the pub last night, we wanted to nail the exact moment when we thought The Simpsons turned from absolute gold to sheer tripe almost overnight.

We decided it was midway through series 11, when Maude gets killed...bloody pointless.

Some of the newer episodes are getting better. I know there was a decline but for me it is still the greatest tv show ever, even after series 11.

Series 2-8 were the Golden Years though, some absolute genius episodes

Armin Tamzarian/Real Principle Skinner was THE worst episode, closely followed by the one Ricky Gervais wrote

The Ricky Gervais one was brutal. Didn't read like a Simpsons episode at all. He did however manage to get his own character to be pretty true to life.

Mostly because he was a massive jeb end as well.
