Never been able to get on board with the love for Oldboy & Battle Royale....neither clicked for me.

Rififi
Dogman
Das Boot
Downfall
The Class
A Prophet
Train To Busan

Love The Lobster so keep meaning to get on to the earlier Yorgos Lanthimos stuff such as Alps & Dogtooth.

I saw Birds of Passage yesterday. Beautifully filmed, lovely light and camera work.

The story was something between The Godfather and a spaghetti western.

Current Greek cinema is brilliant for deadpan and very black comedies.
Anything in particular? Never seen a shout for Greek cinema before. Obviously most places must have some sort of film making industry, but didn't know the Greeks' was of particular interest!

Off the top of my head -

Chevalier
Pity (2018)
Dogtooth and Alps (both Yorgos Lanthimos)

I think all the films came from the same film school and studied with Lanthimos so if you have seen his earlier Greek ones, they are fairly similar.
