With all respect to the legend that is Murray Walker, on his passing, it got me thinking. Many legendary comments by him and others are out there. Share your favourites.

Two of his that come to mine are:

1. Rain and spray everywhere - "of course the advantage of being out in front in these conditions is that you can see clearly" seconds before the driver missed a bend and went shooting off into the gravel trap.

2. "There's nothing wrong with his car other than its on fire"
 

And yes, as I'm sure you've all instantly noticed - the apostrophe in the thread title should be after the s if we are talking more than one commentator - its too late for me to change it! I'm a grammar nazi even with my own posts.
 
In my part of the world Gaelic Games commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh is a legend. One example:

Colin Corkery on the 45 lets go with the right boot. Its over the bar. This man shouldn’t be playing football. He’s made an almost Lazarus-like recovery from a heart condition. Lazarus was a great man but he couldn’t kick points like Colin Corkery.
