Favourite Cartoon

Mine is an oddly specific one. Deputy Droopy (1955). A little 5 minute cartoon that is just perfect physical comedy IMO.

Regular Show and Adventure time best I've seen modern era - from the kids watching stuff. Reg Show is funnier but Adv time more creative.



Thinking about it though The Octonauts is prob the best all round - more old school trad cartoon, not trying to be edgy funny.

Agree, but that list is all after my time.

Whats worse is they have to put up with generic pop music. All the regional radio stations playing the same centrally agreed pap produced by algorithm that gets the best deals from record producers for airtime and mixes positively with ads. Utter bunkum. No room for protest songs anymore because they turn people against consumerism.

My favourite newspaper cartoon (wish I'd of cut it out and kept it) was of a couple who had invited guests to dinner. One of the guests asked the hostess 'the wild mushrooms were gorgeous, how do you identify the right ones?' The hostess answered 'we checked on Wikipedia'. The look of panic on the guests faces was brilliantly drawn.
