My favourite moment in father Ted is when Mrs Doyle and her friend are fighting over who get's to pay the bill at a cafe.

Took me back to my gran and her friends almost getting into punch ups when I used to go to Ireland as a kid over who would pay for the drinks

A truly excellent show!

One of my favourite comedies ever. The humour in it is so nice, it manages to be genuinely belly-laugh funny without being gratuitously offensive. A rarity nowadays. A rarity back then even, in fairness.
