Got my first race next weekend - Holyhead Mountain, so have been out pretty much every day.

About the same targets for me. Have just started to cut back a lot of carbs from my diet, which is tough because I love pasta. Mind you, some of the stuff I was eating was overloaded with carbs -- stuff like my breakfast cereal. Going with more of a protein-based intake with salads and fruit. That plus regular exercise and I hope to be down to around 170 pounds by March from my current 184.
In January 2021 I shall reach my 60th birthday. I have 12 months to get my act together. Probably need to lose between 4 and 6 stone to get to where I want to be. I really need motivation to keep going. I always start well and then get bored/distracted/whatever and give up. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I went for a run this morning and felt pretty horrendous after around three kilometres, so I think I have a fair way to go before I'm back to my normal fitness.
