no offence, but i know as you get older your metabolism slows down and you eat bad **** cos you no longer give a hoot.

however, as a player, as a professional who dedicates hours each day to reach peak fitness and challenge himself to his potential how can you take advice over mr fatty shouting at you for only giving 50% and not 100%.

you look at him and you think, you give 100% mr fatty and maybe you won't have a gut the size of a whale you arl [Poor language removed].

i can't take fat coaches seriously

kevin sheedy a prime example

rant over

In all seriousness though. Like it matters? They've been players or studying the game for years so they know what they have to give from past experiences. I'd let a larger bloke shout at me to give my all if it meant me progressing further.

true but i go to the gym and you see some old men who can give a 25 year old a run for their money when it comes to looking after their body.

Yeah, I've seen people like that as well but coaches aren't really paid to keep fit and slim. They're paid to coach at the end of the day.

Sorry, one of Everton's best ever wingers isn't fit to coach because he's put on weight since retiring from playing?

Good lord, you've been posting some utter tosh but this wins by quite a distance.

Does the weight of a coach affect their knowledge of the game? No. Therefore: arsed?

Are coaches paid to keep fit? No. Therefore: if a player can't take advice 'over' 'mr fatty' then they're an idiot.

Give 100% in what? The gym? Their job? Because their weight doesn't affect their ability in their profession and anything other than that is nobody's business as far as fans are concerned.

By the way, maybe Kevin Sheedy having a bit of weight on is a positive thing as he's just recovered from life-threatening cancer you complete and utter beaut.

kevin sheedy was fat before the cancer so don't even bring that into the argument because i never mentioned it, im talking about fat coaches and he is one. end of. don't bring other factoids into the equation, alan stubbs had cancer as well and this is not a debate about cancer, its a debate about fat coaches. If you want to argue the morals of picking sheedy because he has/had cancer of whatever then pm me about it, don't bring it up here.

there are plenty of fat coaches, i just seen an article with sheedy before i posted.

other examples are roy hodgson, martin jol, sir alex ferguson

let me give you another example that might compare:

If you were seriously overweight, say grossly obese and you went to your nutritionist and dietician for advice and he was 20 stone with 4 chins and he was telling you to eat vegetable and fruit would you take his advice seriously

at end of the day, you can't help but think these thoughts.

Alex Ferguson's fat? Is he?

Well if he is that's clearly what has made him such an awful manager.
