Fan Leaves 300k To Non League Club

Life long supporter of Bishop Auckland, Colin Rowell, left the bulk of his estate to the club - 300k, stipulating that the money should be used to improve Aucklands Heritage Park ground and that his ashes should be scattered on the pitch.

Mr Rowell, died aged 79 and had no immediate family. The club were unaware of his gift until his will was read and are to name a stand after him.

What a top fella, made me proper smile this.

That always makes me a bit sad..
 
Could name you so many more worthwhile causes that could benefit from £300k than a poxy non-league club.
