Terrifying that. Not sure what I'd do - get out the car and make a run for it, and take a chance with the lions, or stay in the car and hope it doesn't blow up before the rangers reach me.

Any possible choice would just be playing with fire really.

I was there and watched it happen. Felt so bad for the family, the kids looked bloody terrified. The rangers were brilliant. The car went up frighteningly quickly.

Very unusual for a modern car to set on fire these days. What an unlucky place for it to happen? Did they park on long grass and the cat converter overheat I wonder?

Would of got out the car stripped down to my piss stained Y fronts and rode a lion home

I used to be in the SAS. What I would do would be to stand near the car but not too close in case it blows up. Lions are actually afraid of fire and won't come near anyway. If one did, the best thing you can do is show it your loudest roar. If good enough it will respect you and go about its business.
