I've never been to Mexico on holiday but my mate went with his family, said the kids loved it, around £1500 each person it worked out he said.

Get a caravan in Rhyl for 600 quid and spend the rest on beak and brasses whilst you're there.
The Wirral is nice that time of the year.

Argeles-sur-mer, near Perpignan down on the France/Spain border. Lovely city, great beaches, plenty of nice resorts to choose from. Should be able to get 2 weeks all inclusive for well under 5k.

Not really. Last summer we (2 adults, 3 young kids) did a week all inclusive in Menorca, one of the cheapest resorts (though it was still nice) for £1200, during term time. Looked this summer in the hols, and it's over £2400 for a week.
£5k might get you 2 weeks top notch apartment and breakfast, but you're still paying for everything else on top.
