Right lets get one thing straight both players would be willing to move on to other clubs, even Cahill has expressed an interest in playing in the middle east. What we have to accept is that we have to sell to buy unless the board and Elstone have came up with genius marketing strategies that that throw us with a bit of dough.

Loyalty has died alot within football and after the Rooney fiasco we should accept what is best for the club. We all want that Billionaire investor and I also want to win the lottery but we the people and Kenwright have got to accept no buisnessman with an ounce of sense will buy us out (old stadium/debts/un-owned training ground/marketability). They seem to pic the London teams like Chelsea and QPR, West Ham will also be bought out soon once they establish the olympic ground. City were bought because they had a new ground in place with state of the art facilities and alot of land around the ground too.

Everton have got a team thats reaching its peak, I'm not being pessimistic at all I honestly believe with the team we have, we are 3 players away from challenging towards the top. LM AM RM are the priority positions at the moment and with Fellaini being pushed further forward maybe just two wingers (milner, johnson - these have been singled out because they have no future at City). Jelavic as been the key to what we have needed for a long time what every top side has to have a goalscorer and what a player. I have not mentioned Pienaar along with him because he is not ours. We need to challenege for the top 4, not in 10 years, 5 years, but now we ay never get another team like the one we have, the nucleus is there it just needs tweaking. With 40-50m up for grabs making it through to the Champs League that type of money is the only resource other than selling players we can get.

Therefore if Fellainis 26m clause in his contract was triggered and Baines went to united for 15-20m that would be 41-46million to play with, if we had the money to spend and time to spend, not like Lescott deadline day, things may not be all that bad. Fellaini was being pushed more upfield with Gibson and Nev in the middle last season, dont forget we have Rodwell coming back and Barkley has had a season of playing. With 42-46m you could build a team around the existing Everton team to qualify for europe. Oxlade Chamberlain, Walcott, Adam Johnson are all players bought for 10mish, Adam Johnson being the only one available, Pienaar 4m theres about 14-16m for two quality players.

Dont be too disappointed if both players go but as long as Moyes is promised the money to spend, we could very well build a force of a team to be wreckoned with.

Please state what players realistically you would buy if these two gems are sold.

Income dropped this season, sales will need to be made to cover that as well as the bank repayment before transfers can even be discussed.

Even if both of them were to go Moyes wouldn't see anywhere near all of the money.

We still have an agreement to pay back a certain amount each year, i'm pretty sure he was talking about other repayments like the one which forced the Arteta sale.
royston they wont be paying the bank any were near what they did last year trust me lad.

In a dreamworld.....

Elia--4mil
Debuchy -- 10mil ?

Thats the right sorted....

Boilesen -- 5mil
Pienaar -- 4mil

Thats the left side

So approx 23mil spent....

Eriksen 15mil+

Done :)

Still doesn't mean that Moyes will see much of it I bet, the board will need a payrise for all the searching for new owners they've been doing...

Surely the sale of fringe players yobo and anichebe would pay the bills. therefore the baines and fellaini money would be available?

if they are gonna go then get rid now instead of waiting till aug 31st when there's no time to bring anyone else in - god knows how much of the transfer funds we'll get to spend but if we go to the english market for replacements then I wouldn't mind James McCarthy coming into the centre, obviously tie up the piennar deal and bring in some cover/replacement for baines - neville could fill in at left back until he's finally put out to farm, might keep him out of the centre if nothing else, if coleman doesn't get a run at right full then we need to buy for that position also - i can see us doing our shopping on the continent, fook all decent affordable players around in the premiership at the moment

I agree with the sentiment but there is no way Moyes would get all the cash to spend. Even if he was given the money he would surely ring in more than 2 players which would result in more wages being paid and we would be in a bigger hole than when we started.

It would be nice to see some transfer action though.
