Did anyone notice on Saturday both Cahill and Terry went down in injury time after we had a corner. Cahill looked over as if to say 'I thought it was my turn to go down'. I'd have it be like Rugby where the physio comes on and the game continues. Let's see how many players stay down then.

Keep playing. Let the ref blow the play dead if it's serious.

Additionally, if play has to stop for a player to receive treatment, they should have to leave the field no matter what. If a player's going to lay down to kill time, make them pay for it.

If he's on the floor everybody should 'accidentally' trample him.
if he doesn't get up then, kick his head out of play for the Reff to stop the game
That would sort the cheats out
No serial re-offending either

Treat the player while the game continues like in rugby.

Won't work.

In rugby the ball generally goes one way for a while and players are treated away from play. Even if the opposition win the ball it's very, very unlikely that the physio will get in the way.

In football possession switches more often, and the physio will probably block players runs, confuse defenders and maybe knock someone over on the way on. Plus what happens when someone hits a screamer that's flying in which hits the physio in the kite?

You automatically win the game.

I was quite glad when di Canio caught the ball, stopping the game. But otherwise, if an opposition player goes to ground, the ref should carry a can of lighter fluid and produce a box of Swan. Sick of this pc madness.

If play stops for an injured player, he shouldn't be allowed back into the game for 10 minutes.
If he can take himself off the pitch to get attention without stopping play then no penalty time should be added when he's ready to return.
Let a manager sub in for an injured player immediately and without penalty time.

Problem of fake/minor injuries stopping play would be mostly solved. If a guy can't get to the nearest sideline, then 10 minutes is the minimum amount of time I'd expect for him to be unable to play football.
