Failure

Fear of it is engulfing me at the moment. I am entering not only a critical stage in my education but in my life too and it is make or break from here on in. In 10 years time I can be paying off my student loan and establishing a successful career or, more likely it seems, I could be saddled by debt, unable to watch my beloved blues, and worst of all still relying on my parents for handouts. I just cant help feeling I wont do well in life.
Anyone else been worried that they are entering a crossroads where every path looks like a risk?

I used to worry about every eventuality, but now nothing, except Everton causes me any degree of stress.As you get older you tend to develop a thick skin and deal with situations completely differently than you would have done previously. People accuse me of not caring and that's wrong because when you lose the only people that really matter to you then nothing else matters, it's all a part of human development.So chill out, do as i do, have a wank (y)

Think of it this way. The only way you'll do your best in life is by thinking positively. So assuming you want to do your best then think positively. Life is all about probability because nothing is certain. If you're worried by stuff then give yourself the best chance possible to succeed. All you can do is your best.

You have to change your mindset, if you look for problems in life you will find them.
if you look and strive for success in your life will be successful.

remember there is no such thing as failure just different options.

Still do mate. Graduated two years ago and been in the same dead end job at a greatly ordinary rate of pay since then. Can empathise with what you are feeling as I cant shake off the feeling that this is my lot right about now

RBJ, Evertonstu just thank God you are not at the other end of the spectrum, lived your working life and wonder what the hell was all that about, what a bloody waste of time. When all you have to look forward is illness in my book you would still be wrong to go on a downer as there is always some one worse off than yourself.

Select from your life the things you enjoy within the limits of your purse and bloody well enjoy them. If you think that your job is dead end or that your education isn't paying off then get off your arse and do something about it while you can, before wife and family come along, they will be your anchors I assure you. Look at Neiler, he went off round the world and came back a far better drunk than before he left but has he got some memories.

Don't just sit there, do something! Remember in lifes rich tapestry EFC aint that important but you are (y)

just go out and enjoy "failing"

fail by going out with the "wrong sort of girl"
fail by waking up next to a moose in the morning
etc

by this i mean if you dont try, you can never fail or succeed.
