Idioteque

Player Valuation: £750k
Yeah we won, but Delph really snuffed Ross Barkley out the game before Ross went off, worth an England call up for Chile friendly game? He's better than Tom ****ing Cleverley I'll give him that, Impressed, he'll probably get ****e from those saying 'Derrrrr whats duz 'e do overrated' but everything good from Villa came through him. Would like to see him and Lallana called up against Chile.

said this is the match thread. Moyes very nearly signed him for us.

Took him a while to find his feet at Villa but now he has he looks great. Real engine and good feet.

Not Delph related but I also thought that Ron Vlaar didn't look a bad player, first time properly seen him

Vlaar very good player a natural leader, misses Clark and Okore as both were out injured, had either of those two been playing or both then we wouldn't have won that.

But yeah again I'd really take a look at Delph.

I'd like to see Delph in the England squads in the future instead of Carrick. Think the lads got real potential now he has found his feet and confidence.

England have a few under the radar players like Delph, Lalana and Berahino that could edge their way into contention if they keep up the early form.

My outside bet for a call up is Jay Rodiguez at Southampton. Cracking player

Surprises me that Lallana hasn't been in with a shout so far. Excellent player.
Absolutely love Southampton's combination of Lallana, Wanyama and Schneiderlin.

Bit weird considering they are very different.

Not that different, when Lampard has been playing for England he's been asked to play a much deeper role as there are better attacking options available.

Delph would offer England more structure than Lampard currently I reckon.

Still early days though, yes?

Many would say it's been a long time coming, he was highly regarded at Leeds as a future England international.

Is it beneficial for us that teams are setting up their teams to stop Barkley, last two matches Huddlestone and Delph have been man marking him and we've won both.
