Oh god a nightmare draw. Then again what's the point in shaking in our boots?God i know our record against that (at Anfield especially) lot sucks. But hopefully we'll go there, take the fight to them, and whatever happens happens.God the footballing gods really do have it in for us Evertonians. But we did dump them out of the FA Cup back in 2009.Liverpool had a much better team back then.Although so did we.But im not going to start crying and moaning about this. What good will that do?The draw is made.We may as well make the best of it, and beat them! They will be odds on favorites as well.So we have nothing to lose here.

Another reason - as if we even needed one - to get recruitment sorted in first day of transfer window. That said, we all know our only signings will be made in the last days, after scratching around for players and ultimately buying from our Z list.

Getting to the final will likely guarantee European football, so it's not just about this game. The cup is our best hope of Europa League next year.

Allardyce possibly our best man manager for a while. Moyes-pessimist . Martinez- soft fantasist. Koeman-aloof egomaniac
Allardyce? He will break the curse!!

I think the key here is not to play any of the losers who have bottled so many of these games before. Baines thankfully out, Jagielka fortunately unlikely to play (I hope), Ross out, Mirallas out of favour. Hopefully Schneiderlin is nice and snide and will take Salah or Coutinho out. I'd play Niasse because he's so unorthodox and they'd have no idea what to do with him. Sitting back and letting them attack will be suicide, so let's look to score and see how the game progresses.

....nearly time. In 1966 my old mum noticed my swimming certificate was upside down on the mantle piece for the 3rd round draw. Out came the upside down certificates for every draw that season and it worked.

NO SWIMMY BADGES?

..bit early to talk about selection. We might have a new player or two to consider.
