FA coaching badges

Heard they've jibbed the 'C' and they're now looking at people adding 'modules' like defending, keeper, attack etc. These are already out there but their value will increase the more you have. If I remember right the 'B' cost about £4000. You'd be hard pressed to earn that back in coaching football. It's very low pay with intermittent hours.

I'd love to get some at some point in the future. Simply don't have time currently to coach a team though

Aye, I'm in this situation. It's pointless me doing it because it won't get me a better job anyway probably.

And they have done that. I've done two youth development modules that were quite useful, to be fair.

Didn't think the B cost that much tbh

Has anyone here got any level FA coaching badges. Started my level 1 today as I've started managing/coaching a u7's in the Warrington league.

The most interesting bit about the level 1 is the video that shows what the kids are thinking when the balloons on the side line are shouting at them like they are adults.
don't worry about your assessment, if your going wrong they will guide you through.

You coaching at East Leigh mate ?

was offered by club when eldest was at u7's but cos on call sods law says that had I coached the team I'd be called out every time there was a game and it'd either cost me an income to run the team or have to keep letting the kids down, similarly my eldests team asked me to do it for my youngests age group u8's.
Yeah Reidy East Leigh u7's. They have 3 teams and needed someone so thought I'd put my hand up

Did you say your lad plays?

Yeah both do, youngest played East u10's Girls the other week, I know Mick (the locksmith) who runs 1 of Easts teams.

U8 plays for Genesis at Wigan Soccerdome on Sundays

u12 plays Sats for Astley & Tylds in Bolton League
Suns for Pennington in Wigan Lge

Footy club 'politics' is 1 of the banes of my life, teams fold cos of it, fold cos 'little johnny' didn't get m.o.m or got subbed/ didn't get player of year etc etc which leaves everyone else looking for a new team & the older they get the worse it seems to get as it gets harder to attract new players that are needed, it's hard enough as they go up to 9-a-side & then 11-a-side to find the extra lads as the 1's that want to play are usually already playing but then add to that someone may decide to stop playing altogether or get scouted (for rugby, footy or cricket tbh) and then you dont have the numbers. Seems to happen every summer and even successful teams fold.
