I'm not digging the way this thread's heading... we should observe our differences without getting all snotty about who drinks Liptons and who doesn't etc

at the end of the day, USA gave us Jack Daniels, Jazz and Blues, so we should forgive them their tea tipping trespasses. They're like our wayward cousins, and I for one salute our American Overlords

Exactly, all hail Obama, or Osama as Gordon Brown called him.........

JDawg - if your great great great Grandfather and his chums, had paid their tea tax, like good lads, and not thrown a thousand cases of PG tips into Boston's harbour, then you too could be well sitting down to tea-time like the rest of us Brits.

It's the Australians you need to avoid. Seriously, has anyone met one? I used to think they were alright on the telly but it turns out theyre actually all total tw@ts

When is tea time?

Indonesia, we used to do it in the morning before going to work

We have 'High Tea' or 'Meat Tea' which equates with what some call Dinner; and 'Afternoon Tea' which is between what's conventionally called Luncheon and Dinner- this involves tea proper, savouries, and sweet pastries dude.
Tea the beverage is drank throughout the day without much ceremony :)
