Morning Guys,

Looking for some information if anyone can help.

My wife and I plus three kids are seriously thinking about moving to NZ this year. My work has recently opened an office in Palmerston North and they have offered me the opportunity to go and manage it. My wife beng a solicitor should also have no visa issues moving over.

I wondered if anyone has done it, the time frame, cost of living and best visa to apply for. Any other valuable info will be greatly appreciated.

Do it. Hope you don't wear a toupee as it'll be circling the Palmy skies in no time. Can't help with otherstuff as I was only there temporarily in 2010/2011 and the recruitment agency sorted a lot od my stuff out. Miss NZ lots though it can be a bit dull. Food was expensive, but lifestyle and working conditions made up for it.

Go for it.
If your work is sending you...in effect 'sponsoring' the move, then they should get in contact with the NZ High Commission in London, dont go near an agency, rob you blind.

I went for 2 or 3 yrs - stayed for 17
