Nice one.
Excel is amazing if you know how to use it well.

Impress your boss and learn to use conditional formatting next. Figures will jump out of the page depending on their value.

did my dissertation on using VBA code to produce an Audit Trail tracking anyone's movement inside a spreadsheet and then creating an analysis tool to filter and interrogate the results.

i'm pyar skilled :s

some woman sent me loads of docs at work to put in a spreadsheet last week, which included every staff members taxable details etc. Including all the members, i really don't think i should have been given such documents, ah well, too late now

Also If you provide excel services to a company as a self employed analyst, how would you bill them, (make sure they paid!)

Have people search for it lots, or put lots of keywords when you put them on in the html/php code. The first one would work better anyway...

I wish I could help with the billing thing though.

Contacts google, google add-words cost a few quid. They track clicks and opens. etc.

I've landed a new role based in part to what i learned on GOT.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!

Market Analysis, forecasting growth etc. Need to buy some books. If anyone has a similar role and wants to recommend any then that wold be amazing.

Also, Excel is fine, but should I learn about anything else, Access, SQL?.

although I only have Excel 2003 at the moment, I think I might get an upgrade, I wonder if this book will apply to older versions of excel?

Some here have previously recommended learning the Developer and/or Data tabs in excel. These seem worthwhile, but probably aren't in your older copy of excel.
