Player Valuation: £70m
Middlesbrough have signed midfielder Adam Forshaw from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who only joined Wigan from Brentford last September, has agreed a three-and-a half-year deal.
Forshaw scored once in 17 appearances for Wigan, where he initially linked up again with Uwe Rosler, before the former Bees boss was sacked.
He played 100 games for Brentford following an initial loan spell from Everton, where he began his career.
"He's just the type of player I want here," Boro head coach Aitor Karanka told the club website.
"He fits the profile of the players we want at the club. He's a good lad and he's a good player. It's important to bring in players who know the league and Adam fits that."
Forshaw added: "I know how big the club is. There's a good manager and a good set of players."

Very interesting move. Karanka looks like a decent manager, so Forshaw will be in good hands.

Good luck to him.

Everton are due 40% of the transfer fee paid to Wigan apparently !
Signed from Brentford in a somewhat complicated deal according to a very good Brentford fan i know !

Wigan are struggling and getting rid of the players on the highest wages in the championship. That's why him mcmanaman, Maloney and Watson have all gone. Hopefully there's nobody else we can sign now.

Boro are my second team so follow them a lot. This will make it even more interesting to watch them. Will suit their style a lot.

Good to see him doing well. Probably not long before we buy him back, we seem to have a habit of doing that.
