Everton's seismic turning points

sisyphus

Player Valuation: £225k
Tomorrow could be one of those 'seismic' turning points for Everton , it just has that feel about it. I think recent events signal a turning point/seismic moment for Everton. Either we will turn a corner, be buoyed by Drenthe and gain confidence , attract a buyer OR the new signings will flop, and Kenwright continues to exert influence and refuses offers and we head to the Championship and players leave.

Seismic moments in the past (for me) have been:

1. Adrian Heath's famous goal in the League Cup from the sloppy back pass.
2. Arsenal dumping Everton out of the Lge Cup (was it '88?) . I was there that night it felt like the end of an era.

any others?:o

I honestly don't think tomorrow will change anything. On the pitch, a win would be great and a brilliant recovery after the opening day disaster. I don't think we'll play that well whatever the result. Prove me wrong, Everton.

For me, selling Rooney was the point I realised that we really are set at a level where we'll never be able to hold on to top quality players without a seismic moment of its own or a decade or so of steady, consistent (c'mon, this is Everton we're talking about) improvement.

Bottling it in the FA Cup Final.

Not arsed if they had a bench worth £100m, we were winning and defended for 89 minutes.

It's all been a step back since then whilst City and Spurs have blown us out of the water.
