Everton's inability to get transfer deals over the line

Patience for a little while longer. Ron has only just assessed the squad first hand during the sessions in Austria and will only now be certain which positions/players need strengthening/replacing.
Targets will have obviously been identified and discussed and agents more than likely approached. But, any approaches have to be tempered with caution as selling Everton to you and me is simple. Making the BLUES attractive to quality players, while totally possible, will not be a two minute job considering the debacle of the past two seasons under the previous stewardship.
None of us know how negotiations are progressing, but progressing they will be, and none of us can truly understand the delicacy of negotiation and NONE of us should believe the dross printed in the daily publications.
Lastly, none of us should despair. Certainly not for another couple of weeks.
I don't pretend to know the situation regarding transfers, I can only reflect as a match going fan since 1954 that there is a wind of change at our club. Previous experiences witnessed by all Blues for too many years can now be replaced by optimism.

It,s not optimism that we need it,s credibility.

the lack of european football puts us at a disadvantage from start. takes some negotiating skills to get marque players if wages isnt just the pull. what experience does the russian have?

Agreed. Corporate financial skill sets on it,s own is not enough. This is why we needed the DoF in place before we started throwing zeros at players and agents.
