*Looks at the way he was targeted specifically as the weak link by ManU and Arsenal*

yup.
Well he's just been awarded player of the month by Everton hasn't he?

Incidentally, I don't think he's that good.

Same applies to Jagielka. Never been much of a fan, despite him seeming like a thoroughly nice bloke.

Doesn't mean he hasn't done well for a young lad thrown into the side. Personally I think he's been a lot better than anyone could have asked of him, but, it's not stopped people targeting him, and Bobby has had to help him out. He's picked both Naismith and Kone at times specifically to give him some protection, and Jags has to take his inexperience into account when every attack comes down that side (which again is most of the because the Opposition recognise his inexperience too)

Personally think Jagielka has been great this season except the last 2 games ha.. hes had a 19 year old centre back playing left back, an unknown argie, tyias browning and worst of all, Tim Howard to cope with this season and we've only got beat against United, City and Arsenal. The top 3 this season.

Aye in fairness I'm being harsh saying this season there as he did play very well vs Southampton, Chelsea and Liverpool, but he wasn't the best against West Brom either I don't think. It'll be interesting to see how we do now with a ball player in Funes Mori there instead of Jagielka who, while a great defender, is calamitous at times in possession.

Funes and Jags being level is madness. You fickle sods. We've barely seen the former.

Jags has had 1 1/2 bad games. But the rest he's shone in, having to lead a painfully inexperienced back line in front of a shocking keeper.

Clear to see Stones and Mori need a lot more time together to be a proper partnership.

Missed Jagielka a bit today.

Not that it matters. We won 6-2 and Kone.A snotted it.
