There has been a lot of discussion on social media about Everton's best 11 and a lot of disagreement's on who's stronger in what position. I think there is a few players who put themselves on the team sheet week in week out. In my opinion in recent transfer windows we've just brought players to strengthen the squad rather than the starting 11. Is that down to Martinez not wanting to upset his 'first 11' or just failure of transfer targets. There is a lot of players in our squad that would walk into the majority of teams in the premier league. Here is my best 11, lets see how many agree....

Joel
Coleman, Stones, Jags, Baines
Barry, McCarthy, Barkley
Deulofeu, Lukaku, Mirallas

On paper you may be correct, but I think some of it doesn't work in practice, Mirallas has been tried on the left and so has Del and it has not worked. I think the best combination we had out there was against Chelsea, with Lennon on the left, interchanging with Barkley. Also I think Besic has been better than McCarthy this season

Barry, Besic

Stones Jags Mori
Coleman Baines
McCarthy Barry

Geri Rom

Besic unlucky not to get in there but a good option if we want to take a forward off if we need to shut up shop

Welcome to the forum mate.

I don't know 100% what my best 11 would be but i'm fairly sure it would pretty different to our managers best 11! In fact i'm not sure he even knows our best 11!

Oh Everton.

Why you playing Gaz Baz anywhere but in the pivot mate?

Besic will soon be Barry's replacement if he stays fit. We still need a left winger however this Niasse could be the answer...
