If Everton had had the funds to hold on to his level of talent there would be no talk of his loyalty to the crest. I feel like all things being equal, he would never have chosen another team over Everton. Ever.

Because kissing the crest of a team that pays a wage of millions of dollars and provided an avenue to endorsements that he can retire/never work again, indicates 100% someone's feelings.
