Fancy watching Partick Thistle against Premiership opposition?

Well you can have your wish as the Jags will be taking on Premiership big guns Everton in the ARR Craib Cup next month.

Davie Moyes will bring an Everton XI all the way from Merseyside to Firhill to join us for a glamour pre-season tournament, the first ever staged at Firhill, on the 21st and 22nd of July and will also feature a Champions League bound Celtic XI and Second Division Airdrie United in action.

The inclusion of Airdrie United in the line-up will see Kenny Arthur, who has recently come home to Scotland, return to Firhill for the first time as a player since making the last of his 287 appearances for Thistle back in 2007.

The weekend of football action kicks off at 12 noon on the Saturday (July 21st) with Partick Thistle taking on a Celtic XI, in a repeat of last summer’s highly successful fixture which attracted a crowd of 5,231.

Then later that afternoon, at 2.45pm, an Everton XI face Airdrie United .

On the Sunday (July 22nd) there will be a third versus fourth play off kicking off at 12 noon.

And then at 2.45pm, the winners of both Saturday games will go head to head to get their hands on the ARR Craib Cup.

A fantastic weekend of top football is guaranteed and the Sunday is FREE to all our season ticket holders.

A Day Pass to enjoy Saturday or Sunday’s action – that’s two top class games per day – is just £15 for adults and £10 for under-16s/concessions.

Non-season ticket holders and visiting fans can buy a Weekend Pass for £25 for adults and £15 for under-16s/concessions.

For ticket information keep an eye on the website

thats not too bad then, Glasgow isnt too bad a drive from the midlands. Different story if it had been any further. I remember the last time i went to a pig farm in Inverness on the train. Took forever, I had a bed and a full breakfast en route. Cracking view of the sunrise over the north sea tho.

Thread title should be "Everton v Celtic, 22nd July, Glasgow"

Ooooh, in the rather posh west end of Glasgow too, dont yer know!
