Everton Vs. Tottenham Hotspur

We beat spurs away from home for the first time..... in ages earlier this season and now we need a win more than ever.

According to the OS - http://www.evertonfc.com/match/latest-injuries.html - We only have fads and paddy boyle injured, although I'm sure that isn't right.

anyway, lets go with -

Howard

Neville - Yobo - Stubbs - Lescott

VDM - Cahill - Arteta - Carsley - Fernandes

AJ

Agree?

i really really want us to win

cahill is BANNED

osman is back

my 11

...............Howard
Hibbert Yobo Stubbs Lescott -------- (unless valente is fit)
Arteta Carsley Fernandes Neville
................Osman
...............Johnson

Defoes pace could be a problem, especially up against stubbs. berbatov is tricky so will need proper marshalling. the embarrassment of riches spurs have in midfield could see any of lennon, jenas, Malbranque feature. to win we have to deny them space in midfield and pressure their defence, a defence that is rather shakey without the very talented ledley king. keeper robinson has a chip on his shoulder currently because he was left out for england vs spain. so expect heroics.

spurs last game was at sheff utd, where they lost 2-1

they set out that day 4-4-2

.................robinson
chimbonda dawson rocha ekkotto
tainio...jenas...zokora..malbranque
............berbatov keane

they have had an up and down season so far, yet are still in the uefa cup.

last season they won at goodison 1-0 in their push for the CL, the manner in which they missed out saw them carry something of a 'hangover/crisis of confidence' that effected the season directly after.

sound familiar?

If we win, and i hope we will, we will win handsomely, but this spurs side has the talent to give the best a game on their day.

Cahill is banned... damn forgot about that.

christ he has only just come back, damn yellow cards all over the place and most of them not deserved.

My confidence for this game has gone down, cahill is vital to us going forward osman just doesn't have the same goal scoring presence or attacking threat.

Although my heart says that we'll win, my head says it'll be at the best a draw.

Lets just hope my head is full of crap!

Although, I really can't wait to see how fernandes does again, he was amazing against rovers constantly setting Arteta on his way.

Can someone let me know if the betting that Dylan has posted is working?

Also, probs an idea to use SkyBet to make odds more realistic so I dont get to tempted to put money on Spurs at 10-1! lol
