I bet you're glad its not Mr clattenburg as he's a big Newcastle fan. After Michael Oliver's excellent performance the other night, people here in the north east were saying it's a shame (safc and nufc) can't get clattenburg, Oliver and moss as they're the 3 best referees (because they're from Tyne and wear they can't referee us)
People seem to be quick to praise clattenburg thesedays but I haven't forgotten what happened in the Merseyside derby in 2007 and I'm a Sunderland fan. I remember watching it as a neutral. Does that day still piss you off and how do you feel when clattenburg is heralded as the best? I've never seen so much injustice from a referee. He's very lucky he wasn't sacked In my opinion.

This game is significant to me because it was versus Newcastle that we sent the kids on with for the 96 rememberance - and this is the first time they are back since we put the plaque up. Would be nice if the game was the spectacle and not the man with the whistle.
