Remember us unbeaten at home all season and last game getting beat 3-0 by Southampton.

Recall Mick Channon wheeling away past us in the paddock having scored.

.....I always think of the likes of Terry Paine and a centre back called McGrath who was hard as nails and hitched his shorts up to reveal the biggest legs ever made. A tough uncompromising outfit, much different from today.

As for a specific game, the one in the snow at Goodison were we got 8. I think it was shortly after the scoreboard was put in and the abiding memory is of that is the score lit up as the snow fell. I think Jimmy Gabriel played for Saints that day. There was another time when we won 1-0 down there with a MIck Buckley goal, the Dell was a tough place to go and it was our first away win in an age.

One of my first games the 8-0. It could only go downhill from there.
