hello fellow blues - new on this forum but am a lifelong bluenose, am heading up to sligo on sunday for the match and am putting out a question to u all. rumour has it that the team will fly to knock on sunday - the day of the game OR they will fly in to knock from zurich on the saturday . anybody know what the story is as i want to bring my two girls to the airport and meet the team. :unsure:

It must be -- considering we're playing Wolfsburg on Saturday.

I wonder which one Seamus will be going to. I remember he said he was looking forward to this game, so I'm not sure if he knew he was going with the reserves, or just didn't know that the first team aren't going.

I believe I heard the commentator on one of our pre-season games say that it would be our reserve team and Seamus playing Sligo.

Not sure though.

Interesting... would he really value a trip back to his old club more than a trip to Wolfsburg? They're a great team with a great stadium; it's an experience.

i rekon it will b sum reserves+youth+1 or 2 first team + seamus coleman, they will be staying over night cause the game is @ 7pm, still don't know when the team is arriving though!!!!!!

You should see the Showgrounds!

Of course Seamie would want to play in this game, playing his old team, in front of his old fans and in front of his family and half his home town will probably come down for it. And anyway, afaik the 1st team are coming, they may not all be playing but they're flying in from the game in Germany the Sunday.

where to? the nearest airport that flys in to knock is zurich and thats only every sat. now unless they r flying into dublin and getting a coach up but that doesn't make much sense. why go to germany not play and then fly to ireland, we will know the team v sligo by what team doesn't play in germany!!!any way keep yur ear to the ground and try and get a def ans on when/where they r coming in

Contact the club and ask. I would guess it will be into the closest major airport.

Seamus might get a day off Monday if he's in Germany Saturday and back home in Ireland for Sunday's game - but 45-60 minutes in both games won't be overdoing it...

there is no way any player even going to germany will b playing v sligo on the sunday. can't see how they will do the travelling with flights and all other transport!my gut feeling is that they will come over from liverpool on the sunday afternoon.
