Isn't MK Dons just the original Wimbledon which we would have played against in the 80s and 90s? We just would not have played them under the current name.
MK Dons is an awful club which should not have been founded in the manner which it was. I am not opposed to Milton Keynes having their own team, but they should have entered a team into the lower tiers of non-league football and tried to work their way up instead of hijacking Wimbledon. Personally I refuse to recognise MK Dons as a continuation of Wimbledon and instead choose to recognise AFC Wimbledon as the true Wimbledon.

Think MK are considered a new club as are AFC Wimbledon. Of course Everton played the original Wimbledon quite a bit in the 80s and 90s.

Looks like no soccer buses for this one. I usually park in The Strand car park and get the soccerbus.

Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of parking as close to the ground as possible?

Bump - also looking for any parking recommendations please, I used to park at St Domingo.

On Pall Mall there was parking for a tenner, on Sunday. I noticed it walking back to Lime Street.

20 mins walk from the ground.

Why do you say no soccer buses ? I'm expecting to get the 919 from Lime St. as per usual .

Pretty sure MK Dons don’t either, iiirc they’ve handed over all records etc to AFC Wimbledon. Highly doubt any Wimbledon supporters got their either.

While I agree about how they came about, being relatively local it’s hard to knock the previous owner Winkleman for what he’s done for the ‘City’ and grass roots football there.
Now owned by some Kuwaiti fella, wouldn’t be supported if they became Milton Keynes FC at some point and drop the Dons bit completely.

I think that's the case with 99.9% of fans. AFC have a good set up now and room for growth if needed. Tidy stadium.
MK are a new team. Nothing against their fans though. Not their fault.

It would make sense. Or United etc.
