I was one of many Evertonians to pay £18.99 for the 6 game pre-season package, which also come with "highlights" for the Morecambe game to which was about 3 mins. In the first two games it was on their part and fault that there was technical difficulties, many of us who paid for this subscription couldnt even watch the game as it kept crashing and now there is a cancelled pre-season tournament. So what am I exactly getting for £18.99? and is there anyway I can claim this back? I wouldnt mind if they wanted money for the Pienaar transfer I would rather them state it, instead I've paid £50 for a home shirt which is well over the odds furthermore I think we have all been ripped off with the pre-season package, its bad enough paying for that Chang ****e @ the ground. Please anyone with any input?

Give them a chance to see what they do before slating them. I'd imagine they will refund or arrange new games.

I doubt you'll get your money back. Several years ago they same stuff happened and I complained...and they gave me an extra month of Everton TV during the first month of the season...which is absolutely worthless.

i would be annoyed too, i am going every pre season except malaysia anyway but i think they will arrange new friendlies instead

i think there was another thread about this shizz. There is an emither address on there too. Some lads got refunds after dundee game so give that a whirl.

Dear Evertonian,

As you may be aware, Everton today confirmed the Club will not be participating in the inaugural Java Cup which was due to take place in Indonesia later this week.

Following a number of recently uncovered issues, concerned Club officials asked the tournament organisers for assurances about the competition, especially following the withdrawal of Galatasaray.

Initially, it was indicated that Nacional from Uruguay would replace the Turkish Champions but the identity of the participating clubs and the subsequent structure of the competition remained unconfirmed.

A Club spokesperson explained: "Club officials here in the UK and our forward planning/security team deployed to Jakarta at the weekend have repeatedly asked for clarity and assurances from the organisers on the issues but unfortunately have not received the answers we required in the timeframe necessary to ensure our participation.

"We are grateful for the support today of the Indonesian government in this matter, however the unresolved issues mean that the risk of travelling was too great.

“This decision was not taken lightly and we apologise for the obvious inconvenience caused to our supporters who have made, or were planning to make the trip and to our Indonesian fans who were looking forward to seeing Everton in action.

"The first team squad will now stay in the UK and continue their pre-season preparations."

As a supporter who has purchased a pre-season package on evertontv, we can confirm that you will receive a refund covering the cost of both of the scheduled Indonesian games at the standard price of £3.99 per fixture.

This will equal a refund of £7.98 into your account and will not affect your ability to view the remaining games of the pre-season live package. The refunds will be processed without you needing to take any further action and should appear in your account within two working days.

If you have a query regarding the refund or the cancellation of the fixtures, please email: support.evertontv@evertonfc.com.

Kind Regards,
evertontv support

any news on any friendley replacements.... Everton vs Milwall Cahill send off.. Everton vs Galatasaray? makes sense

We're playing Hereford away on Saturday. It was originally going to be a reserves friendly, but will probably become a first team affair now.

The club only need one other friendly to be arranged, maybe not even that. They could treat the Tranmere away game on August 1st as a more senior affair, rather than a reserves outing.

Or they could arrange a friendly for that midweek, August 1st.

Dare I say it, but Rangers at Ibrox? Might be too short notice, as they've not yet got their SFA membership back yet, and also there's Olympic football that same day at Hampden, so the policing might be an issue.
