Autoplay is so last century. I nearly always have my sound down so I didn't notice it, until ymy sound was up and I was scurring to find the off button. Nice idea, but they really need to give the user more option, after all its a social networking site in part.so friggin annoying, it should simply be paused from when you access the page and if you really want to hear lescott say what we already know, then you can click play
I'm not a big fan either of the "warmer" blue. Feels like something is missing, though I admire how they have managed to cramp so much of the content (most marketeting related) on the home page.
While I know we always criticise our own above others, take a look at the sky new home page (http://news.sky.com). Its an improvement from when it was first launched when it had far too much white space, but the story of that murdered police woman killed by her hubby is still a prominent front page story, even though he was convicted months ago and jailed for life, and even now it looks like a work in progress.
