Everton Training

Does anybody know if Everton permit grass root coaches to attend any training sessions from the academy level up??

Moyes banned it as he didn't want to be shown up as a fraud.

Apparently he got first year scholars to fill bottles with piss and squirt them at anyone who got too close.

...I know you jest, but the like's of Tommy Graveson and other foreign players said Moyes had his faults but were praiseworthy of his on-field coaching. I know somebody who was on the touchline at last weeks U21 game and said Stubb's had a 'come on, get stuck in' approach. He said it was like watching a parent at a kids game. I remember SAF at Bellfield watching a Lancashire League game and he was brilliant, encouraging players to take opponents on, express themselves and not be scared of making mistakes.

difference between a great manager and a sh1t one. we need to stop taking ex pros on and get actual coaches.

its a fair point. Neil Dewsnip has just moved on but many years ago I watched one of his teams and his approach was visionary. He totally moved players during the game to enable them to get a feel for other positions, tactical awareness and improving skill sets. He switched the centre back to left wing, moved a forward to centre half etc. None of the players complained, they all bought into the approach.

To an extent your right mate, then again i remember Colin Harvey and the difference he made to us whilst coaching, still credit him hugely with that 80's team and the way we played
