I believe negotiations are underway for Everton visiting the Algarve for Pre season, watch this space

Can you give us updates on this when possible please? I'm going there again in the summer and would love to get my fix of Everton in the sun.

this could possibly be the guadiana cup, villa played in it a couple of years back. if it is , it's played in villareal de santo antonio. it's a couple of miles from the border with spain, i have a place 10 miles away in cabanas, have already booked flights for june and september, but will deffo be going in july if we are there. expect the likes of benfica, sporting and another european team. it's eastern algarve, and the ale/food is much cheaper than the west.

if we are playing in this tournament, there is a train that runs from the resorts in the west albufiera, praia de rocha etc, it changes at faro. if driving it's a straight run on the a22.

Should send the wasters to Siberia to toughen up before the season starts for a change, rather than a holiday in the Algarve...

To be honest though, we should have a really tough pre-season; somewhere like Slovakia or Turkey, playing top domestic teams.

Think it would shape em up a bit and allow for a better start, having played top domestic teams, or it could end up wearing them down a bit and leading to the usual crap start.

Now we play the waiting game.

Will be a beast of a few days there - i need a job so i can afford it...
