we've had one of these before-but thank you for adding relegation in as an option

i'm able to vote now

Excellent, I'm hoping this poll/thread will promote some much needed positivity around here.....

Although we all bitch and moan about things (and believe me I think we have every right too, we spend our hard-earned money on the blues and I think we have the right to voice our opinions) deep down I actually think that none of us really think it's all completely doom and gloom and we all have every faith in the boys that Moysie chooses to put his faith in when Saturday comes and this poll will reflect that.

5th and 7th shouldn't be grouped as one. Finishing 5th would be difficult as it means we'd likely have finished above Spurs and Liverpool. I'm almost certain we'll finish 7th, as I don't see anyone who finished below us last season improving enough to catch up. Villa would be the first club to come to mind, but despite signing N'Zogbia they have lost Downing and, in my opinion, their best player in Young.

Hopefully 7th will be Europe this season, that's all I can say.

Fair comments, I tend to agree with your 7th place prediction.

What do you think it'll take to finish 5th/6th or higher? (A miracle is not a comprehensive answer)

If you isolate 7th you'd have a landslide.

Is it more important not to have a landslide or to have poll results that better reflect ppls opinions? Personally I would have top 4, 5/6, 7/8 then 9-12 or something. In which case I would vote 7/8. As it is I prob wouldn't vote, as I don't believe we have a realistic chance of finishing 5th.

No higher than 7th. As long as we've started getting results by November i'm confident of no lower than 7th.

Bottom ten; ageging squad + Moyes reluctance to start the youth [Barkeley] + Moyes enthusiasm to start the youth [Anichebe] + the dehabilitation that is a Cahill + the problems we have with the long ball counter attack in our defence + our lack of bite in midfield [Rodwell, Heitinga, Arteta] + the ineviatable injury to Saha...sorry people, with no new blood in the squad, no money, defensive tactics from the dour Moyes will see us slide into the bottom half of the table and remain there [no turbo boost last ten games for us this year] until the season ends.

When there is no money for new players in 2012, and Moyes eventually tells Bill to get stuffed, relegation will be a very real possibility at the end of next season. So yes, bottom ten it shall be...I'm sure the Kenwrong lovers will tell me I am deluded...but I'm afrad fellow Evertonian supporters, you are deluded...
