Ah the days where if you missed a game, and lived outside Liverpool, you had to wait for the national news to see the results.

I remember not knowing the 4-4 game result until the next morning.

Bloody hell some of the defending during that season makes Jags and Distins performances look like Baresi and Beckenbauer!!! Just watched the whole lot and yep it was bloody depressing. Great to see though, haven't seen Unsworths first ever goal v Spurs since that day, what a finish. Beardsley was just immense.

Nice 1 mate .we were on a steady downward spiral after the 87 season but we had a still in his prime Beardsley here. Easily kendalls best signing in his second spell but also sadly he made a shocking decision to sell him. Its noticeable how small the team was back then.they were all about 5 foot 7
