Player Valuation: £70m
Due to recent postponed fixtures on the account of bad weather Paul Dickov the manager of Oldham Athletic brought his first team to Finch Farm to play Alan Stubbs reserves.
Everton included two trialists, a Portuguese lad ( Sissko) who has just been at Manchester City and someone from Norwich City who was referred to as Sam but i didn't get his surname as there are no teamsheets printed for friendly games.
Much travelled Shefki Kuqi got the only goal in the first half for the visitors but only for the frame of the goal he could have got more. The game ended up with a 1-0 win to Oldham but a very pleasing perfromance from the Everton second string. Joao Silva also played for the reserves.

Everton team that played a 4-3-3
Davies, Browning (Pennington) ,Touray, Heneghan, Dier, Forshaw, Lundstram, Sissko (Grant), Baxter (Higgins), Joao Silva (Hope), Sam. (Thomas) Unused Sub Roberts(GK)

Did a bit of looking found a Sam Kelly from Norwich academy, could be him. Left sided midfielder/winger?

Slightly off topic, but seeing as Bally's around this thread; whilst fishing around on the interweb, I came across some articles from 2011 about a kid from Bradford, George Green I think it was, who we were looking to sign. It was going to cost us up to 2 million. Did we sign him and has anyone seen him play? Seems a lot for a schoolboy!
