Everton need a new owner as top priority

The situation at Everton needs to be looked at in the context of the overall picture, over time

Sacking manager after manager is surely papering over deeper problems

Clearly there has been some poor financial planning under Moshiri, despite some obvious positives and him being an accountant (!). And then losing the Usmanov connection, which is now seen in a new light

A new owner is clearly a priority to freshen things up. A new Chairman could possibly come as part of that

This may not happen over night / this season though

The other obvious ongoing weak point is fan mentality, but this is more difficult to solve, unless some fan leaders stand up and start taking responsibility

Would fans have the resilience to not destabilise a continuation of the current setup whilst we wait for an ownership change?

Kenwright barely sacked any managers, doesn't make him a good owner

he struck lucky with Moyes

sometimes you get lucky and find the right manager for the right team hence why i believe Newcastle are doing so well right now. They got the right manager in, he's signed the right players and has coached them really well

if the manager is not getting results he deserves to be sacked, sometimes it's not the owner's fault these things just happen. Chelsea sack numerous managers and are still successful winning trophies and getting top 4 most seasons.

deep down, i believe that there is a manager out there that can get these players to actually play decent football, they just need a decent manager with the right mentality

Relegation is inevitable unless major changes happen soon

I'm not fussed if we get relegated.

Moshers will run off and take kenwright and baxendale with him hopefully

The club can hopefully rise from the ashes

The way things stand I’d be looking to get any money I could before we go down
Think any prospective buyer would be doing the opposite looking to see if we go down before they buy, the amount of revenue lost through going down is massive that’s got to be a consideration for any potential buyers

I want deadpool and that guy who owns an Irish pub in philadelphia. Those 2 came into the industry clueless but already know more than our board. This was a post in jest, but seriously, at least there are owners out there that know what the fans want and strive to provide it in a responsible manner.

The UK needs a new government too - but that's not going to happen any time soon, either.

So, we do what we think we can do. That means a new manager immediately. Will it solve the issue? No. But it gives some hope in what is otherwise an impotent position.

Rise from the ashes George A. Romero style. Rotten corpses shambling about looking to eat the brains of its fanbase. Its already taken our hard earned cash, so why not some tasty brains. God I hate this club....
