There seems to be a lot of knee jerking around here from people who after a bad result are calling for Roberto's head and praising his ass into heaven after a win.
I felt like posting my opinion on you guy's problems, idk if you'll agree but you can take what you wish from this
I'm obviously not saying i could do any better, but i don't feel everton has the players for the tactics martinez wants to employ, barkley, while quality seems a flair player, and i feel would suit faster play, as would most of the sqaud tbf, martinez likes slow passing buildup which only really works with barca-esque players. i'm all for creating a new philosophy but this one has had it's time. I know you guys probably won't like me making comparisons with a certain other team from merseyside but when they hired Rodgers he seemed to want to use a slow passing buildup at the beginning and it failed miserably, but he adapted, martinez can't as he had no plan B. I like everton but you are now a wigan that just has better players, and that's not where you want to be obviously.
Overall, i posted in another thread that i think he should get another 2-3 league games, and if things don't pick up, sack him, otherwise sack him at the end of the season. Otherwise i think relegation could happen next season, he's a great guy, but he has no tactical awareness other than his passing game, and with the confidence and RIGHT tactics, i think you could easily get 6th and higher, especially with the amazing home form you can have with that awesome goodison atmosphere.
