If anyone remembers 20 years ago this March a young Evertonian called Tim Parry was tragically killed in the IRA bombing of Warrington Town Centre. A little known fact is that while Tim was in hospital in the coma that he never recovered from, he was visited by Howard Kendall, Dave Watson, and Ian Snodin. This was a great source of inspiration for Tim's dad especially at the time.
Since then the charity set up in Tim's memory has helped over 25,000 people who have experienced trauma - everyone from survivors of terrorism to war veterans to emergency responders at car accidents. They are commemorating the 20th anniversary with an Evertonian Sportsman's dinner that those Everton legends plus Peter Reid and Neville Southall are speaking. Tickets cost £30 a head and can be purchased online by calling Nick Taylor at the Peace Foundation on 01925 581208
THIS EVENT IS ON APRIL 12th NOT MARCH 9th
