I really hope somebody makes a fly on the wall documentary about his time over there, that would be great. I keep imagining the BBC documentary about his time at Sunderland and his hilarious teamtalks, with him repeating them to bemused Indian players.

This tv show was also what the Mike Bassett: England Manager movie/character was based on.

Hold the FA in the esteem they have earned and so deserve, but when they replaced one of his medals he auctioned off to pay the bills for Plymouth IIRC said a great deal about someone at the FA bastille and cast Reid in an even more positive light than what he already was festooned by.

He'd have been a better manager than Mike Walker was, that's for sure. And probably Walter Smith too.

Thing is at the time Walker had done well at Norwich so it seemed like a good idea, Smith had a great record ok Scotland, better than Reid will ever do. Ok for both it didnt really work out at Everton but in all honest all Smith had to do was keep us in the division, which he did. He also won just as much as Moyes.
I dont think Reid would of done any more than that, if at all.

It was for the best Reid didnt manage Everton because it could of soured our memories of him
