Bally's right, we do seem to lack any form of bite. Rewind back to the Moyes era and we had people like Cahill, Neville, Carsley and Gravesen etc who would spur the team on.

The closest person we have to a figure like that is Besic (who's not got enough experience to really drive the entire team) and Barry.

I'll probably be shot down for this, but I'd love for us to get Rooney back. He'd definitely add that factor that we're lacking in.

Correct with first two points but allow me to take the first shot, wouldn't have Rooney back if he crawled along the East Lancs to get here, 'once a blue always a blue' my arse, he left us at the first opportunity he could.
that again lol

Rooney left to have a successful career, which he has done. If you or anyone else don't like him or don't want him back, i personally think its unfair to throw him leaving us as a stick to beat him.

I mean look at all the trophies and medals he missed out on staying here..........He had a succesful career and it was away from the team that think not buying a player for 2 years = yay we havent sold to pay the bills again.

Could you put that in English please?

ok

If you hold a grudge for rooney leaving us then you're better off spending your days crying into a pint of bitter in your local.

He left for a succesful career, meanwhile we achieved nothing. Hate him for 100 different reasons you may have but not for wanting to win things and be successful, there will be enough young lads in the squad now following suit soon enough.

While Martinez is no angel, I agree.
Of the current squad I'd consider maybe Besic (still learning the game) Barry and Rom.

Our experienced players the likes of Jagielka, Baines e.t.c. need to stand up and be counted.

Rather win nothing and play for us than go chasing trophies

While I think Jags is a decent bloke, and someone who's good to have around the club, not sure that we've seen him stand up and be counted, leading from the front as much as we've needed him to.
