OK so your stance is that the club, EitC and therefore everyone involved in this is morally wrong and the opportunity to get publicity if not money for EitC should passed up because the Tories are in power, rather than Labour.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Forgive me - but isn't that a sport relief t-shirt osborne's holding up?. Wasn't exclusively about EITC was it?

What stopped Jagielka from holding up the sport relief t-shirt? It's redness? o_O

Would all of you have reacted with utter outrage if Corbyn turned up to promote a charity? I doubt it. It seems that you don't want him to visit our club, simply because you have differing political beliefs to him. Despite the fact that his visit was non-political. Makes sense...

That's as maybe, but the cheap shot at Jags was ridiculous. He's doing his job, same as Martinez was. In hosting Bill Gates and Osbourne, and promoting a charity event.
If he's working class and really cares about the community he'd say something like "I'm not having picture with him, look what him and his ilk have done to less fortunate of this country, but bill you're top come here"

But you're not from the city are you.......you don't see it from the same point of view being from a Tory part of the country

My stance is fairly obvious: no Everton 'captain' should be seen posing for photos that gives a social and economic criminal who's been at the heart of ripping millions of lives apart any positive publicity.

I hope that clarifies the situation for you.

The visit was in conjunction with EitC who had asked and were granted permission by the club to host Gates and that slug at FF. It's their baby. Baxendale carries the can ultimately for it.

I dont see any contradiction here. maybe you can point it out?

Clear as mud - in one you put the ultimate responsibilty with the EitC boss, the other it's Jagielka.

Think it best to leave the thread to discuss EitC in a positive light personally.

There's no contradiction at play. Baxendale is not a representative of EFC. Jagielka is. The visit was arranged by her office; Jagielka stepped forward to stamp the club's seal of approval.

Maybe when Mr Jagielka speeds through the streets of Halewood on his way back to his mansion in Alderley Edge or Prestbury he could reflect on his actions? I doubt it though.
