Everton hero you used to dislike

I was thinking back to the glory years of the eighties today and thought of a player who I couldn't stand before he signed for the mighty blues, Paul Power. When he played for Man City, I never rated him and for some forgotten reason disliked him. How wrong I was. If memory serves me correctly he was our player of the season in 86/87 when we won the title, his stamina was incredible, he became my hero. Are there any players who used to really get under your skin but won you over when they played for us?

how long before Phil Nevilles name comes up?

Don Hutchison is the one that sticks out for me. Never really saw it before he signed for us, despite what the West Ham supporting members of my family said. Rather liked him in blue though.

Very nice shout. I liked his style of play for us, hated him prior to joining us though.

Once I got past the the fact that he'd played for the dark side, and all the hype from my dad & brother, i thought he stood out in that team.

Around about that point I started getting more irritated than I probably should have about professional paid commentators inability to pronounce his surname. His name's not HutchiNson FFS!
