Kind-hearted Evertonians are helping to turn Gambia blue with their donations of replica shirts.

As the picture shows, youngsters in the West African country can be seen proudly wearing their Everton jerseys that have come courtesy of fans at Goodison Park.

The EFC Heritage Society have asked supporters to keep the kits coming to collection points at St Luke's Church, the Match Day Hub and Fan Zone.

The shirt donation project is just one initiative taking place. The group are also collecting winter clothing and toiletries for the Whitechapel Centre for the homeless and running food bank collections, both from St Luke's.

EFC Heritage Society secretary/media officer Richard Gillham said: “Be proud of your support. The food bank collections are a big must for the people in need.

“Also the supporters trust are sending cards before Christmas to brave Bradley Lowery our favourite Sunderland supporter. Have a wonderful Christmas and happy new year.”

Fantastic work by the Heritage Society, been great this year for all things Charity and Everton related.

But what are they going to do with all the Cleverley shirts that got sent back?

I have a mental picture in my head of a gang of Gambian kids screaming " noooo I'm not having the Cleverley one" lol

Agree great work by the club again

Fortunately "Cleverley" in Mandinka menas "possesor of mighty wanger" so the lads will all want one.
