Greetings all,
After I did a few sort of commentary things for a couple of the pre-season matches, some kind people on the forums have asked, and encouraged, me to do more throughout the season. I'd be more than happy to, so have researched into what the best way to do this would be. Having seen the success that the BBC Sport live commentary program garners, I thought I'd look into a good way to emulate this. And I found one.
This Wednesday at 8PM, Everton FC face Everton Chile, a game we can't lose...so to speak. At around 7:15 GMT, 45 minutes prior to kick off, I'll come on here, probably this thread, and post a link, that will lead you to a new window, in which will be commentary by me, through the medium of CoverItLive.com. It's basically BBC, but with a lot more user interaction possible. I'll be doing a sort of match preview on there, with polls, answering questions and letting users post comments, and then the full live commentary, minute by minute, just text of course. Half-time, will see more polls, questions to the viewers etc. This program enables me to interact a lot with the viewers and I think it'll be a lot more enjoyable than editing forum posts over and over. I can add pictures and all sorts to commentary, so hopefully it'll be good.
This Wednesday will be a sort of test run of the program, and then if it is well received then I'll continue to commentate on matches throughout the season, whenever I can.
So yes, 7:15 GMT, Wednesday 4th August. Look out for the link and I hope to see you there. Any more questions then feel free to ask =]
Also the website, with a few video demonstrations and such is:
