Player Valuation: £500k
Lies, damned lies, and statistics. Please see link for statistics on a cost-per-point value. Kind of mid-table mediocrity as per usual, surely we must finish top of this league. It was nice to see LFC down at the bottom. I must admit I for one believe Everton have been great value this season; they have allowed me to experience almost every experience under the sun from desperation to elation. Mind you there will be lots more emotions in the closed season mostly despair I reckon.

Cost-per-point table

1.Blackpool
2.West Brom
3.Wolves

8.Everton

20.Liverpool

The problem I see with this kind of analysis is that to get from 30 points to 40 points costs less money than going from 40 points to 50 points. 50 to 60 costs even more and so on. All this table shows is that you can sometimes survive in the Premier League on a shoestring budget and that it costs a ton of money to reach the upper echelon. We already knew that.

That's wages. I'd like to see it for transfer fees.

I.e. if we reward 60k Seamus with 30 grand a week for being boss, it doesn't change the fact that he cost 60k.
