I think most of us look in the wrong direction when we see such articles.
We should see 7000 in lille, 5000 to Wolfsburg... Everton fans actually support. To put this into comparison, Spurs took a total of 200 to Greece.
Everton fan forums seem better than most, even have fans from other clubs because Everton supporters know their football.
It makes sense that we are also the most protective and for every link we see of one of our players leaving, we click on it even if just to laugh. I did it myself today... The combination of McCarthy, 16m and Arsenal... The other articles were positive or mundane but I clicked that link first.
Plus the positive articles don't linked because they don't get us incensed. We're more likely to agree and move on if they are positive. Annoy us and we all need to have a say.
I'm sure someone before has posted that Everton fans are the most internet active, so in fact I think it's the journalist that need us...
We should agree that everyone get their daily news from the official Everton website to really hurt the media. Then they can switch their attention to the 200 spuds fans and the also similarly stitched Geordies.
My favourite article of recent times was when they confused Gary Cahill with Tim Cahill and had our Timmy going to Arsenal for £17mil. Still clicked on it and linked it though...
